Masjid-e-Tauheed Regd No:225
An idea to have a Masjid in the vicinity of Housing Board Colony, Sadasivpet, originally came from Mr. Mohammed Naseeruddin, Secretary of the Housing Board Colony, Sadasivpet, a newly constructed colony, which does not have a facility of Masjid.
The colony consists of 83 houses, of which 19 belongs to muslim community. For Salah they have to travel 2 k.m. away from the colony, which is tiresome, and time-consuming as well
On 22 March 2011, Mr. Naseeruddin approached to Mr. Mohammed Maqdoom Ali and others, and formed an organizing committee to build a masjid in the area.
On 30 March 2011, Housing Board set up an auction to sell a house of 2 bedroom, and a hall, with kitchen and toilet. Its constructed area is 580 Sq. Ft. And plinth area is 266 Sq. Yds. ( 2,394 sft.). This house is centrally located in the colony, adjacent to Eidgah boundary, and perfect location for a Masjid.
The auction was attended by organizing committee and gave their final bet of Rs. 11.55 lakh.
The committee had to deposit 25% amount within 3 days’ time, which was taken as a loan (Qarze Hasanah), and deposited to the Housing Board
Through committees personal efforts, members has got collected a donation of about 2 lakh, which was returned back to the loan giving persons.
Rest of the amount (about 8 lakh) + Registration Fee(10% = 1.2 lakh) we have to deposit with the Housing board within 3 months time.
For this purpose, we appeal Ummah Muslimah and philanthropic societies to come forward and donate generously to have this facility to pray for Muslim Ummah.
FUTURE PROGRAM:
Once we got the property registered in our name, then we will construct the Masjid, accommodating at least 100 people at a time
For this purpose we have to hire an architect, and engineer. We would like them to give us a new design of the Masjid, without demolishing the present structure
Since we do not have a school for muslim children to get Islamic education, we are planning to start classes of basic education of the Holy Quran recitation. Later this may be enhanced to residential Islamic School for at least 200 students, giving them latest educational facility along with Islamic education, by purchasing adjacent properties.
